Mary Kay gift bags were recently donated to CAMLU staff!
Special thanks to Advanced Product Consultant Andrea Shakespeare for her generous donation of Mary Kay gift bags to our hardworking staff. Our male employees enjoyed passing the gifts along to their wives. We also appreciate those who helped the bags. Andrea visits our female residents to offer facials and cosmetic advice. Andrea Shakespeare shares the following message: I became interested in encouraging the residents at Camlu because I can’t be there for my own mother. She lives in NC [North Carolina]. My mom is 90 and I can’t help my sister take care of her, but I know how many people feel forgotten when they move into facilities away from their homes. I wanted to be a blessing to some who live nearby. I can help love on and care for those who live just a few blocks away at Camlu. The Mary Kay company has a “Go Give” spirit which encourages operating by the Christian concept of the “Golden Rule.” I thought giving the ladies a little pampering would help them feel cared for. Additionally, I wanted to show appreciation for the staff, especially during this stressful time. So I reached out to friends in the community and as far away as NC, and asked them to help support the employees at Camlu in their labor of love. Satin Hands, by Mary Kay, provides protection for over-washed, dry, cracked hands and I knew this product would be perfect for employees at Camlu. I feel honored to have been able to help and show support by paying it forward!
